Information
Grespania Faenza takes its name and its spirit from the Italian town that gave the world faience pottery. It is a small 75 x 300mm glazed porcelain brick with a white glaze, a gently raised relief surface and delicate blue motifs that recall hand-painted maiolica, so a wall of it has the handcrafted, slightly irregular charm of old Mediterranean ceramics.
Use it as a kitchen splashback, behind a bar, around a basin or as a shower feature, laid in a brick bond, stacked or herringbone. The blue detailing is soft enough to sit with white, cream and pale wood kitchens, and the matt white ground keeps the overall effect light. At 7mm porcelain it is rated Class 1 for slip, so it can also be used on floors in light-use areas such as cloakrooms.
