Grespania Cartuja is a slim 55 x 450mm porcelain strip with the character of old artisan ceramics: a crackle glaze with fine craquele lines across the surface and darker, rust-toned edges, as if each piece had been fired in a wood kiln and weathered for a century. Laid stacked or in a herringbone it gives a kitchen splashback, bar front or bathroom wall a lived-in, vintage warmth that flat modern tiles cannot match. Five colours are available: a soft White, a sea-blue Aquamarine, a muted Sage green, a deep Mustard yellow and a rich Terracotta. Every tile varies slightly in tone and crackle, which is the point, so mixing boxes before laying gives the most natural result. The 7mm porcelain body means it can also be used on floors in light-use areas such as cloakrooms and utility rooms. Cartuja porcelain tiles from Grespania. Available in 1 size, 5 colours and 1 finish.
