Our next125 Kitchens

"There are kitchens that are well made, and there are kitchens that make a statement about the way you think about design."

next125 is firmly in the second category. It is the premium kitchen collection from Schüller, the leading German kitchen manufacturer, and it is built on a philosophy of functional beauty, authentic materials, and timeless design that sets it apart from almost everything else available in the UK market.

La Fabrico is proud to offer next125 from our Exeter showroom. If you are looking for a kitchen that is genuinely designed rather than simply manufactured, this is where the conversation starts.

THE PHILOSOPHY

What next125 actually means

THE NAME

next125 takes its name from its defining engineering principle: a 125mm modular grid system. Inspired by the Bauhaus concept of modularity, every element of a next125 kitchen is designed to combine within this precise architectural framework, creating a kitchen that is both completely flexible and completely coherent. The name is both a measurement and a philosophy.

next125 was founded on a specific set of design principles: sensible and sensual, functional and beautiful, minimalist and essential. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement and designed and manufactured in Germany, it represents a distinct vision of what a premium kitchen should be.

Where many premium kitchen brands focus primarily on surface opulence, next125 is about rigour. Every detail is resolved. Every proportion is considered. Every material choice is deliberate. The result is a kitchen that does not shout its quality but reveals it gradually: the perfect weight of a drawer, the precise alignment of a glass front, the way light moves across a fine wood veneer surface at different times of day.

Sensible and sensual. The form and the material, the function and the use. Creative, innovative and surprisingly different. Minimalist, essential and timelessly elegant. Inspired by the Bauhaus, designed and manufactured in Germany.

THE 125MM GRID

The engineering principle behind the design

THE SYSTEM EXPLAINED

The next125 design concept is built on an architectural feature: a metric grid of 125mm. A single grid unit corresponds exactly to the height of one drawer. Carcase heights of 75cm, 81.25cm, and 87.5cm, all exact multiples of the 125mm grid, can be mixed within the same kitchen to create ergonomically optimised, architecturally precise spaces. The grid system is what allows a next125 kitchen to be fully tailored to the ergonomics of its users while maintaining the strict proportional discipline that gives every next125 kitchen its characteristic visual calm.

MATERIALS AND FINISHES

The next125 material collection

The materials used in a next125 kitchen are selected because they are the best expression of the design intent: authentic, beautiful, and suited to decades of daily life.

Lacquer finishes

next125 lacquer fronts are available in a carefully curated palette across multiple finishes: matt, silk, and gloss. Each lacquer colour is developed specifically for the collection. The palette spans architectural whites and warm neutrals through to deep, characterful tones. Matt lacquer in particular is one of next125’s most refined finishes: flat, precise, and extraordinarily beautiful in the right light.

Glass fronts

Fine glass fronts are one of the most distinctive elements of the next125 collection. Crystal-clear glass, back-painted glass, and textured glass options offer a quality of surface and a play of light and reflection that no other material provides. Glass fronts within the next125 system are engineered to the same proportional precision as every other element, creating wall units and display sections of extraordinary refinement.

Wood veneer

next125 wood veneer fronts use real wood surfaces, not printed simulations, chosen and finished to show the natural grain, variation, and warmth of timber at its most beautiful. Available in oak, walnut, and other carefully selected species, the wood veneer collection brings an organic warmth to the architectural rigour of the 125mm grid system.

Ceramic and special materials

next125’s material commitment extends to front options in ceramic and other premium surface materials that place it firmly at the leading edge of kitchen design. These are surfaces chosen for their sensory quality as much as their visual impact: the cool solidity of ceramic, the reassuring weight of quality hardware, the subtle texture of a premium lacquer under fingertips.

WHAT SETS IT APART

Why next125 is genuinely different

BAUHAUS-INSPIRED MODULARITY

The 125mm grid system gives next125 a proportional rigour that creates visual calm regardless of the complexity of the kitchen layout. Every element belongs. Nothing is approximate.

AUTHENTIC PREMIUM MATERIALS

Real wood veneer, fine glass, precision lacquer. Not simulations or substitutes. The materials in a next125 kitchen are chosen because they are genuinely the best expression of the design intent.

DESIGNED FOR ERGONOMICS

Three carcase heights derived from the 125mm grid allow the kitchen to be planned around the people who use it. Ergonomics are not an afterthought but an architectural starting point.

TIMELESS, NOT FASHIONABLE

next125 does not chase trend cycles. Its design language, minimalist, essential, resolved, is derived from principles refined over a century of modern design thinking. A next125 kitchen will look as considered in 2040 as it does today.

MADE IN GERMANY

Designed and manufactured in Herrieden by Schüller, the same family business, the same production facility, the same standards of German engineering applied for over fifty years.

LUMIQ INTEGRATED LIGHTING

next125’s LumiQ lighting system integrates LED lighting into the kitchen architecture rather than adding it as an afterthought. Precise, adjustable, and beautiful, lighting as a considered design element.

WHO IT IS FOR

Is next125 the right kitchen for you?

next125 is for those who approach their home with the same rigour they bring to any important decision. It is not the right kitchen for everyone. It is the right choice if:

  • Design is not an afterthought but a primary concern, you have strong opinions about proportion, material, and form
  • You want a kitchen built around Bauhaus principles of functional beauty: nothing unnecessary, everything resolved
  • You are willing to invest at a premium level and expect the quality of the result to justify that investment without question
  • You want materials that are authentic, real wood, real glass, precision lacquer, not printed simulations
  • You want a kitchen that will look timelessly considered in fifteen years, not one that will need updating because it chased a trend
  • You want to work with a kitchen design team who understand the next125 system and can plan it to its full potential

If you want exceptional quality at a slightly more accessible price point, with a broader range of styles, the Schüller collection is the stronger starting point.

Our team at La Fabrico can talk you through both and help you decide which fits your home and ambitions.

EXPERIENCING NEXT125

A next125 kitchen is not something you can fully appreciate on a screen. The material quality, the weight of the hardware, the precision of the fit, these are qualities that only reveal themselves in person.

We encourage you to visit our Exeter showroom and spend time with the collection before making any decision.
